Opening Summer 2026
Roma, Roma, Roma
A tribute to Rome, an invitation to experience the city with intensity. A veritable gem to discover, an elegant, joyful, and cinematic hotel made for wandering, exploring, and falling in love. Experimental Roma is a new hotel steeped in history, erected on the legendary Via Veneto. A nod to the Eternal City — intimate yet spectacular, clandestine yet theatrical. Led by interior architect Rodolphe Parente, his vision draws from the fertile contrasts that define Rome’s grandeur: beauty and decay, sacred art and profane celebration, heritage and modernity.
Home to 82 rooms and suites, a restaurant by chef Giovanni Passerini, a breathtaking rooftop bar and suspended swimming pool overlooking the city’s skyline, Experimental Roma captures the spirit of La Dolce Vita in a contemporary rhythm.
Experimental Roma is not just a place to stay, rather an architectural and sensory narrative, a cinematic setting where every guest becomes a character.

THE ROME I LOVE
"Rome — a city I dreamed of long before working there. Extravagant, spectacular, paradoxical. A mix of beauty and ruins, of grandeur and fragility. A living museum, yet a beating heart of creativity, carrying the layered history of civilizations — a millefeuille of eras, styles, and desires.

Via Veneto was the spark. The mythical street of La Dolce Vita — the Italian glamour of the ’50s and ’60s, paparazzi chasing stars, actresses stepping out of Alfa Romeos in exquisite gowns. A street of fantasies, still glowing with cinematic allure. A mix of sensuality, elegance, and devotion.
Rome is not a postcard. It’s an inner labyrinth. To truly look at it is to gaze at the soul of humankind. There’s La Grande Bellezza, of course. The beauty, the solitude, the memory. But also Pasolini, a poetic study of the raw, spiritual, and real.
Experimental Roma is not a replica of Rome’s past, but a living homage. An architectural narrative in motion. A place in tension, like Rome itself: between sacred and profane, splendor and decay."
by Rodolphe Parente, Interior Designer, Experimental Roma
Rooms & SuiteS
A dialogue between light, texture, and desire.
Behind each door of Experimental Roma lies a world of contrasts — intimacy and splendour, heritage and modernity. Once a historic bank, now reimagined into 82 rooms and suites, each space is a chapter of its own Roman story, a narrative shaped by the eye of Rodolphe Parente.
Restaurant, Bar & Rooftop
At Experimental Roma, Chef Giovanni Passerini returns to his roots with a contemporary eye. Roman by birth and celebrated in Paris, Giovanni humbly brings the heart of Roman cuisine to life — the quinto quarto, the “fifth quarter” of the animal, often considered the less noble parts, but here, an approach of rare elegance, revealing their delicacy.
Tucked away, Experimental Cocktail Club is a study on the classics, a late-night haunt as if plucked from an Italian film. A Negroni freshly poured here, the echo of ice ricocheting off a shaker over there. Unassuming conversations in clandestine corners, the gentle hum of music to blur the lines. An evening most sublime, endlessly mysterious.
Then the rooftop, suspended above the city. A swimming pool beneath the sun, lounging in the shadows of umbrella pines. A rooftop for cocktails at sunset in front of the magnificent backdrop of the ancient city.
ROOFTOP
A bar suspended high above the city. A pool that opens to the Roman sky, where clouds float across the cerulean backdrop. A rooftop made for sunset cocktails beneath the effervescent glow of the Eternal City.
Via Veneto
Set within a former bank, the building stands on the legendary Via Veneto, cradle of Fellini’s La Dolce Vita and a stage of Italy’s golden age of glamour. Here once walked Anita Ekberg, Marcello Mastroianni, the paparazzi, and the lovers of a dazzling, decadent Rome.
Today, Experimental Roma revives the spirit of that bygone world with elegance, audacity, and grace.

An Experimental Discovery
Our destinations
A journey that started in Paris, in the summer of 2007. A bar on a quiet street, the start of Paris’ cocktail renaissance. As the years went on, new chapters turned, from new cities, to restaurants and finally hotels. Today, Experimental can be found across Paris, London, New York, Venice, Verbier, Val d’Isere, Ibiza, Menorca and out in the British countryside. Each location inspired by the world around it.
